South Carolina quarterbacks Coach G.A. Mangus was arrested by the police official’s on early Tuesday morning and charged with nuisance behavior.
G.A. Mangus was suspended by Gamecocks head coach Steve Spurrier, after he was arrested by the police officials in Greenville. The third-year quarterbacks coach Mangus was charged with nuisance conduct, after officers saw Mangus miss behaving with people on a downtown street.
Greenville Police Department officials Jason Rampey said Mangus has been released from jail. The 42-year-old G.A. Mangus will faces a $470 fine if he convicted. Mangus was in Greenville city for a meeting with state high school football coaches.
According to a police report, two police officers saw Mangus, who was facing Main Street on the street curb and roadway at 1:31 a.m. ET in Greenville on Tuesday. The report stated that another Police officer was called to the incident and when he approached Mangus, the quarterbacks coach was shaky on his feet and he had a strong smell of alcoholic drink coming from him.
Mangus said that, he would like to publicly make an apology to Coach Spurrier, the entire team and each person associated with the University of South Carolina including with the Athletic Director Eric Hyman, Spurrier said Mangus will be suspended from all coaching actions, till this issue closed.
