One topic we’ll shy away from (as much as possible) this week is playoff possibilities, because there are enough to fill about three columns’ worth of space.
One we won’t though is what’s known as the Fantasy Football Debate.
There’s an argument to be made ending all Fantasy play by Week 15 (some suggest Week 14, but that’s a little extravagant), and after looking at how intense the picture is in our particular pool, I’d have to agree.
Fantasy players jostling for position near the top really shouldn’t be punished for drafting Peyton Manning, Drew Brees or Philip Rivers, but they will be in the final weekend when those star pivots will likely sit for large chunks of the game.
Ditto for folks who carry the Colts, Saints or Chargers defence and any number of top-drawer players dotting the rosters. The three teams aren’t going anywhere in the final playoff seedings, which presents an unfair disadvantage for the poor saps carrying players — and exceptional ones at that — on their Fantasy teams.(source)
