We’re approaching the middle of July and before you know it we’ll be at the end of August, meaning there will be college football.
The Florida Gators are currently the odds-on favorites to repeat as BCS champions at +200 and the Oklahoma Sooners, last year’s runners-up, are in the rearview mirror at +500 and likewise for the USC Trojans.
The Texas Longhorns are listed at +700 while the Ohio State Buckeyes are listed at +800.

The Kansas City Chiefs have traded Pro Bowl TE Tony Gonzalez to the Atlanta Falcons in exchange for a selection in next year’s NFL draft–ESPN is reporting that the pick will be a 2010 second-rounder.
Sources tell ESPN that a new deal has been reached between Atlanta and Gonzalez.
The Falcons are hosting the Miami Dolphins in Week 1 of the 2009 NFL regular season and are 4-point home faves in early.

The minute Brett Favre was released by the New York Jets the rumors about a move to the Minnesota Vikings began immediately.
According to ESPN, Favre and Vikes coach Brad Childress will meet sometime this week to discuss whether the QB will join Minnesota.
Favre is still recovering from a torn bicep and the Vikings are listed as 3-point faves for their Week 1 matchup against the Cleveland Browns.
