Coach Gailey Takes Charge In Buffalo

nflChan Gailey was hired by the Buffalo Bills Tuesday, getting a second chance to prove himself as a pro coach and inheriting a team that has missed the playoffs for 10 straight NFL seasons.

A two-month search to replace Dick Jauron ends with Gailey agreeing to lead a team that was 6-10.

In his two years coaching the Dallas Cowboys, Gailey went 18-14. (more…)

Arizona Cardinals vs. New Orleans Saints Live Streaming Online

nflAfter an incredible offensive display last week against the Green Bay Packers, Arizona now gets a chance to take its show on the road when its faces the New Orleans Saints on Saturday, January 16, 2010 in the divisional round of the NFL playoffs. The game is slated to kick off at 4:30 P.M.

Against Green Bay, Kurt Warner played one of his best, if not the best game of his professional career. His numbers speak for themselves, as he completed 29 of 33 attempts for 379 yards and five TDs. His passer rating was an unheard of 154.1, and his 88 percent pass completion is one of the highest ever in postseason play.

The supporting cast of receivers was equally impressive, as they pulled down one circus catch after another. WR Steve Breaston stepped in for the injured Anquan Boldin and caught seven balls for 125 yards and one TD. (more…)

NFL Playoffs Green Bay Packers Vs. Arizona Cardinals Predictions

nflTwo playoff bound squads will butt heads today as the Packers and Cardinals square off in Glendale, Arizona. The game is set to kickoff at 4:15pm ET at the University of Phoenix Stadium; it will be televised live on FOX.

Green Bay locked up a Wild Card spot last weekend, pounding the Seattle Seahawks 48-10 at Lambeau Field.

Green Bay, which is 10-5 overall, has produced a 4-3 mark in road games this season. Their latest setback away from Lambeau came two weekends ago in Pittsburgh as they fell 36-37 to the Steelers. Despite their mediocre road record, the Packers are outscoring their host opponents by an average of 8.3 points per game this year. (more…)

Baltimore Ravens Vs. Pittsburgh Steelers NFL Week16 Predictions

nflNFL Week16 Picks

The Steelers needed all 503 of quarterback Ben Roethlisbergers’ passing yards, as well as all 60 minutes of alotted time, to win against the Green Bay Packers last Sunday. Roethlisberger fired a 19-yard touchdown pass to the extreme front corner of the end zone to WR Mike Wallace as time expired to defeat Green Bay 37-36, abruptly ending the Steelers’ five game losing streak.

Pittsburgh comes into the next game against Baltimore with a feeling that has been absent since Mid-November, due to the fact that they have won a game.

Baltimore thoroughly dominated the Chicago Bears this past week, winning 31-7. In that outing, quarterback Joe Flacco was spectacular, completing 21 of 29 passes for 234 yards and a career high four touchdowns. The Ravens have made a hard push for the playoffs as winner of three of their last four games. Currently Baltimore is slated in the final wild-card spot in the AFC playoffs. (more…)

Seattle Seahawks Vs. Green Bay Packers NFL Week16 Predictions

nflNFL Week 16 Picks

Essentially, the Green Bay Packers could guarantee themselves a spot in the playoffs for the first time in the post-Brett Favre era Sunday. Needing just one win in either of the final two weeks of the year, they get their best shot this week when they host the Seattle Seahawks.

Seattle, losers in four of their last six, are on the heels of probably it’s worst loss of the year, falling to 24-7 to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers last week. Matt Hasselbeck was picked off four times by the league’s ninth-rated pass defense, and his offense was 0-for-2 in the red zone.

For those reasons alone, the Seahawks would be a logical double-digit underdog, for those of you who do any NFL Betting, but pair it with what’s on the line for Green Bay and it’s the third-biggest spread of the week. Just a point off New Orleans’ 14 1/2-point spread against Tampa Bay, the Packers are 13 1/2-point favorites, against Seattle in the 2009 NFL Week 16 Betting Odds, with an over/under of 41. (more…)

Green Bay Packers Vs. Chicago Bears NFL Week14 Result

nflResult: Green Bay 21, Chicago 14

The way this one started, Ryan Grant and the Green Bay Packers looked as if they were going to run away with their fifth straight win. Aaron Rodgers sure thought they would.

Instead, they had to earn this one.

Grant ran for 137 yards and two touchdowns, and the Packers beat the Chicago Bears 21-14 on Sunday after letting their lead slip away.

Grant broke off a season-long 62-yard touchdown on the Packers’ first play from scrimmage and scored the go-ahead TD in the fourth quarter after Nick Collins intercepted Jay Cutler.

“The way we started, I felt like we’re going to go blow them out by two or three touchdowns,” Rodgers said.

Instead, they wasted touchdown chances and settled for field goals, yet they did just enough to pull this one out and keep the momentum building as they prepare for a playoff run. (more…)

NFL Power Rankings Week 13 2009

nflNFL Power Rankings Week 13

1. New Orleans Saints (11-0) (last wk #1)

Any Doubters left?

2. Indianapolis Colts (11-0) (last wk #2)

They just keep squeaking by; you figure it’s going to catch up before the regular season ends… and that this will be a battle tested group come playoff time.

3. Minnesota Vikings (10-1) (last wk #3)

Favre and his crew are starting to look like they might be able to give the Saints a run for their money.

4. San Diego Chargers (8-3) (last wk #5)

They just keep quietly winning… starting to look like the Chargers of a few years ago.

5. Green Bay Packers (7-4) (last wk #7)

If they beat the Ravens on Monday, they look playoff bound. And this is a team no one wants to run into in the playoffs.

6. Dallas Cowboys (8-3) (last wk #9)

Cowboys have a chance to take firm control of the division.

7. Cincinnati Bengals (8-3) (last wk #8)

Not exactly impressive in win over the Browns.

8. New England Patriots (7-4) (last wk #4)

Still a very good team… just not an elite one anymore.

9. Tennessee Titans (5-6) (last wk #12)

People laughed when I said playoffs a month ago.

10. Philadelphia Eagles (7-4) (last wk #11)

It’s hard to tell just how good the Eagles are; some weeks they look elite, and others they just plain suck.

11. Arizona Cardinals (7-4) (last wk #6)

9 wins will get them to the playoffs with ease… another mediocre year in a weak division gets them to the show… don’t expect a Super Bowl run this year.

12. Pittsburgh Steelers (6-5) (last wk #10)

They’re cutting it awful close here…

13. Denver Broncos (7-4) (last wk #21)

They still aren’t very good. Kyle Orton isn’t very good. Even at 7-4, still not going to the playoffs.

14. Baltimore Ravens (6-5) (last wk #15)

We all know they don’t win that game if Big Ben plays.

15. San Fransisco 49ers (5-6) (last wk #20)

Too late for a playoff run, but this is not a bad team.
