The New York Jets has begun their work out on Monday in a school at New Jersey, where around 40 to 45 players have taken part in the camp.

This is team’s first full squad workout since the start of the leagues lockout, as a stretched out version of quarterback Mark Sanchez’s New York Jets West camp in Southern California on last month. Every player on the roster was requested to attend the camp including free agents. New York Jets wide receivers Braylon Edwards and Santonio Holmes also attended to the teams first training season.

Several NFL teams have started to work out together on their own from past few weeks, because the players are not permitted to train at team facilities due to the ongoing lockout and few teams are preparing themselves with minicamps.

New York Jets players have been working out in enclosed space around the country, mostly in the New Jersey. Recently, New York Jets defensive lineman including first round pick in the 2011 NFL Draft, where he also taking part of the training session at a high school field in New Jersey. The nose tackles Sione Pouha and defensive end Mike Devito has prepared defensive line workouts at a high school in Morris Country.

Mark Sanchez announced that his shoulder doesn’t require surgery. Mark Sanchez has been suffering with right shoulder injury. On Thursday, Mark met doctors to know the status of his injury. Doctors advised him to take rest and no need of surgery.

Mark Sanchez suffered concussion during the New York Jets victory against Pittsburgh Steelers on December 19. He said in the second MRI report states swelling and spiting in the shoulder. Now, he had good improvement that eliminates surgery. Last year, he underwent knee surgery.

Atlanta Falcons vs. New York Jets Week 15 NFL Picks: The New York Jets looked lo be left for dead three weeks ago but the team has rallied and will try too keep their playoff hopes alive when they host Atlanta Sunday at 1 PM ET. The Jets (7-6) are coming off a convincing 26-3 win over Tampa Bay as -3.5 away favorites. Atlanta (6-7) was game in a 23-26 loss to the New Orleans Saints as +10 home underdogs.

The Atlanta Falcons vs. New York Jets Week 15 NFL Picks NFL Betting spread is New York Jets -6 at BETREPUBLIC.COM.

Jets Offense vs. Falcons Defense: The Jets run-heavy #17 offense will face the Falcons #23 ranked 4-3 defense. The Jets will lean on RB Thomas Jones (1225 yds, 4.4 ypc, 11 td-2 fmbl) against a Falcons run defense that allows 4.3 yards per carry. Jets rookie QB Mark Sanchez (63.9 passer rating) returns from a knee injury but his knee will not be 100% in the cold weather. Mark Sanchez and the passing game match-up evenly with a Falcons defense that struggles in coverage. Slight edge to New York. The Atlanta Falcons vs. New York Jets Week 15 NFL Picks NFL Betting Total is at 40.0 points.

Falcons Offense vs. Jets Defense: The Falcons balanced #12 offense will face the Jets #1 ranked 4-3 defense. Atlanta backup QB Chris Redman (78.4 passer rating) has played well in relief of injured starter Matt Ryan and could get All-Pro RB Michael Turner back this week. The Jets defense is an awesome run stopping unit that has the NFL’s best cornerback in Darrelle Revis. The Falcons offense is filled with playmakers but without Turner and Ryan this offense is not the same. Advantage New York.

Intangibles: Atlanta has a big edge on special teams. Atlanta star QB Matt Ryan and starting RB Michael Turner are listed as questionable. Weather is suppose to be cold which could affect the dome based Falcons.(source:onlinesportshandicapping)
