Dan Carpenter selected for AFC Pro Bowl Team

Dan Carpenter selected for AFC Pro Bowl team. These post season awards are not new to Dan Carpenter. The kicker from Helena squeezed up all-conference selections playing for Helena High School, and earned four All-Big Sky selections and was named an All-American twice during his glorious career with the Montana Grizzlies.

On Wendnesday afternoon, Dan Carpenter was selected for NFL Pro Bowl team and this is the biggest honor for him so far.

Dan Carpenter is playing his second season with the Miami Dolphins and was named in the AFC of the NFL’s all-star match. San Diego was sidelined on Wednesday morning. Dan Carpenter mother, Diane Carpenter spoke to her son in phone on Wednesday afternoon from her home in Helena.

“He said his phone has been ringing off the hook today from well-wishers from Montana,” Diane said. “It’s just been a wild afternoon. I and his father are just kind of shocked. We’re really proud of him. Everything with his football career has fallen right into place. How could you ask for more? First he’s playing for the Griz, then the pros, and now the Pro Bowl…this doesn’t even seem real.”

Two Giants Linemen placed in Pro Bowl Squad

The New York Jets has one of the best offense lines in the NFL football, but their stadium-sharing opponents, New York Gaints is looking to say something about that.

New York Gaints linemen David Diehl and Chris Snee were listed in the NFC Pro Bowl squad on Wednesday thanks to Jahari Evans and Jonathan Stinchcomb of the New Orleans Saints, who are playing in the Super Bowl after NFC match.

This is the first time Pro Bowl is playing before the Super Bowl and also the first year the mach will be p-layed outside of Aloha Stadium in Hawaii since 1979. Sun Life Stadium will host the Pro Bowl match and this same Stadium is also hosting the Super Bowl match on the Sunday.

Snee, a guard and Boston College graduate, and Diehl, a tackle, join center Shaun O’Hara will be acted as the Giants’ O-line representatives in Miami. On the other side, three persons from New York Jets are also participating in the NFL’s Pro Bowl festivities.

Linebacker London Fletcher happy about New Pro Bowl Format

Washington Redskins linebacker London Fletcher is making out for Jonathan Vilma and his team, New Orleans Saints, in the Super Bowl. New Orleans Saints’ NFC Championship win got him a Pro Bowl nod.

“For selfish reasons, I’m a Saints fan. They got me here,” London Fletcher said, a 12-year pro but first time Pro Bowler who will be playing in the place of Vilma in the starting lineup.

“I’m here now so I’m thankful, blessed to be here. Once I knew I was going to the Pro Bowl, I was so excited about it that I didn’t sleep for two days. To be here and see some of the best players in the league, it’s good.” he added.

This is good for London Fletecher and bad for Super Bowl-bound players, who was ruled out for Pro Bowl. Seven players from each team were replaced in the teams, which includes some of the biggest players. Biggest players like Peyton Manning and Drew Brees were sidelined and second fiddle quarterbacks Tony Romo, David Garrard and Donovan McNabb are joined.
