Tennessee Titans sue South California and their coach, Lane Kiffin for appointing Kennedy Pola as a USC running back coach.

On Monday, Tennessee Titans filed the lawsuit in the Davidson County Chancery Court against USC and coach, Kiffin for violating their running back coach, Kennedy Pola contract policies. From the next week, the training camps of the Tennessee Titans will commence.

According to the contract policies of Kennedy Pola, he must need a permission from the Titans management to communicate with anyone other than the Titans regarding the new deal.

Tennessee Titans recruited Kennedy Pola in February. But, Southern California has also announced that they appointed Kennedy Pola as new offensive coordinator and running backs coach.

“USC and Kiffin engaged in improper means in their procurement of the breach and were not legally justified in their actions. Kiffin and USC’s actions, through him, were part of a course and pattern of conduct fostered by Kiffin and USC to use improper methods and means to the direct harm and damage of parties to contracts.” the lawsuit charges.

The Tennessee Titans higher officials refused to comment on the lawsuit as the case is in court.

Tennessee Titans coach, Jeff Fisher said that Lane Kiffin wasn’t professional. He neither informed Jeff nor Titans before hiring Kennedy Pola. He also said that Titans learnt that Lane Kiffin has interest in recruiting Pola. Jeff Fisher requested the Titans in person to hire Kennedy Pola as the running back coach.

The contract of Tennessee Titans and Kennedy Pola will end on February 14, 2011.
