Dallas Cowboys receiver, Troy Bergeron and Cleveland Browns receiver, Rod Windsor are back to the Arena Football League during the National Football League lockout.
Troy Bergeron has signed with Cleveland Gladiators and Rod Windsor has joined with the Arizona Rattlers to play in the Arena Football League. Both Bergeron and Windsor were the former Arena Football League rookie of the year award winners. AFL commissioner, Jerry B. Kurz said that, AFL season is already in progress, which it is allowing 2010 AFL Rookie of the Year Windsor to take the action. AFL players were allowed to sign with another league after the NFL lockout, which began in last week. Bergeron and Windsor are still below the contract with their respective NFL teams.
Jerry B. Kurz said that, he is very confident that the NFL lockout issues will be determined soon and NFL players will play in this season. He added National Football League is very supporting to Arena Football League. In additional, players can be sent to the Canadian Football League and United Football League. In this NFL offseason, the 2011 NFL Draft will be the 76th annual meeting of the National Football League franchises to select new NFL football players for their respective teams. Several players were looking for the 2011 NFL draft.
Cleveland Browns receiver, Rod Windsor was the AFL league’s rookie of the year last season. He got 193 catches for 2,372 yards and 47 touchdowns by playing in the 2010 season with Arizona Rattlers in the Arena Football League. After the Arizona Rattlers season, Windsor was signed with the Sacramento Mountain Lions on 22nd August, 2010 for the United Football League. He scored 25 catches for 379 yards.
Dallas Cowboys receiver, Troy Bergeron played with Cleveland Gladiators in the Arena Football League. Bergeron has also been a member of the Georgia Force, Buffalo Bills, Columbus Lions, and Atlanta Falcons. Bergeron played for Georgia Force in 2005, 2007 and 2008 and he also selected as the AFL’s league rookie of the year in 2005. Bergeron had signed with the Dallas Cowboys’ practice team on 15th December, 2010 to play in Arena Football League.
